Col. Stephen E. Wright, USAF (Ret.), served in the United States Air Force for 30 years and is currently the Education Advisor and Deputy Commandant at the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. He is the author of An Aerospace Strategy for the Aerospace Nation (978-1288300471) and numerous articles on Air Force issues.

Old, Outdated, Incorrect Info

I was pleased with the 34th edition when I first entered the Air Force a few years ago. Purchased this "current" edition so I would have all of the updates. There don't appear to be any updates from previous editions. They have entirely wrong outdated (at least 8 years old) information for several major installations, no reference to post-9/11 GI bill, only Montgomery GI bill, etc. This is all just at a first glance. I'm sure as I get more into the book I will find further inadequacies. If you have an older version, don't waste your time upgrading.

A good book to read when you're starting out in the ...

A good book to read when you're starting out in the military as an officer. It gives you some basic knowledge of a few things to expect in the military. A good read for all the free time I had at officer training school.....not really, but I did read this a few weeks before attending, and am still going through the other chapters.
