The award was established by photographer Edward Burtynsky with Jane Nokes of Scotiabank.

biggest rock is BEST rock

Following the age-old adage of "biggest rock is BEST rock", this is my favourite Cohen book for it's dimensions. Nothing quite replicates seeing large-format photography in person, but this well-printed and amply sized book allows you to pore over the stark details of Cohen's alienating human landscapes.
